1. About WIAB

Women in Amazon Business (WIAB) is a UK-based membership organisation supporting women working in Amazon and the wider eCommerce ecosystem. We do this through community, events, mentorship, education, and shared resources.

6. Community participation and conduct

WIAB is a values-led community. By joining, you agree to:

  • Treat others with respect and professionalism

  • Avoid harassment, discrimination, or harmful behaviour

These expectations apply across all WIAB spaces, including:

Detailed behavioural expectations are set out in our Community Guidelines, which form part of these Terms.

7. Moderation and enforcement

To protect the community, WIAB reserves the right to:

  • Remove or edit content
  • Suspend or terminate access
  • End a membership

where we reasonably believe behaviour:

  • Breaches these Terms or the Community Guidelines
  • Causes harm or disruption
  • Undermines the safety or integrity of the community

Decisions are made thoughtfully and proportionately. In serious cases, termination may be immediate.

8. Member-generated content

Members may contribute content, including posts, comments, resources, or speaking at events.

Ownership

  • You retain ownership of content you create

Licence to WIAB

By contributing content, you grant WIAB a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to:

  • Host, display, and share that content
  • Use it for community and promotional purposes

Where content is used outside the community (e.g. recordings, marketing), we will act reasonably and in line with WIAB’s values.

9. Mentorship and educational content

Mentorship, masterclasses, and educational sessions are provided to support learning and connection.

They:

  • Do not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice
  • Are informational and experience-based
  • Should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional advice

WIAB does not guarantee specific outcomes from participation.

10. Sponsorships, partnerships, and enterprise memberships

WIAB may offer:

  • Sponsorship opportunities
  • Partnerships
  • Enterprise memberships

These are subject to separate written agreements and are not governed by these Terms unless expressly stated.

11. Data protection

Personal data relating to your membership is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains how and why your data is processed.

12. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • WIAB is not liable for loss arising from participation in the community or events
  • Members are responsible for their own decisions, actions, and interactions

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Changes to membership and these Terms

WIAB may update membership features, pricing, or these Terms from time to time.

Where changes are material, we’ll take reasonable steps to notify members. Continued membership after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

15. Final word

WIAB exists to create space, opportunity, and visibility for women in Amazon and eCommerce. These Terms are here to protect that mission — and the people who make it possible.
